Torino FC is back in the National Team after a year, thanks to the call-up of Alessio Cacciamani. The call-up of Cacciamani represents a very important fact for Torino, which had not seen at least one of its players in the national team since June 9, 2025. In fact, the last Torino players to be included in the Italian national team were Samuele Ricci and Cesare Casadei. The first one will later transfer to Milan, finding the national team jersey again in November, while the second will remain in Torino, gradually losing the national team. Since then, no other Torino player has worn the national team jersey before Cacciamani, confirming the difficulties of the company in producing Italian talents. The last game in which at least one player was included in the national team was the one played between Italy and Moldova on June 9, 2025, won by the Italians 2-0. On that occasion, Ricci, still a Torino player at the time, was included in the starting lineup chosen by former coach Spalletti, while Casadei watched from the bench. Before last June, Torino had been represented by at least one player in the national team for 3 years in a row. In fact, in addition to Ricci and Casadei, between 2022 and 2025 there were Izzo, Sirigu, Pobega, Buongiorno and Bellanova. Many names that represent only a memory for Torino, which is no longer massively represented in the Italian national team. Therefore, Cacciamani's call-up can represent a turning point for the company, as well as for the boy.
